Initial Minor Flood Warning for the King Rivers


Minor flooding may develop along the King River around Docker Road Sunday afternoon. Minor flooding is also possible for the Ovens River at Wangaratta during Monday.

In the 48 hours to 9:00 am Sunday, widespread rainfall totals of 30-60 mm have been recorded in the Ovens and King River catchment with isolated higher totals (112 mm at Mt Hotham, 81 mm at Mt Buffalo Chalet). 

No significant rain is forecast for the remainder of Sunday.

King River:
Minor flooding may occur along the King River. The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 3.38 metres and rising. The King River at Docker Rd Bridge may peak around the minor flood level (3.70 m) Sunday afternoon.
