This Community Information message is being issued for between the townships of Kennedys Creek and Carlisle River
  • This Community Information replaces the Advice Message issued on 8 February 2026.
  • There is a bushfire at Carlisle River that is under control.
  • Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. 
  • Firefighters remain on site to continue to extinguish any remaining hotspots.
  • Crews assisted by heavy machinery are  working on rehabilitating affected tracks and stabilising key areas of the fire ground.
Due to the Boggy Creek Bridge being damaged the following traffic management points are in place until the bridge is repaired.
 Carlisle Road and Irrewillipe Road Intersection
Carlisle Road and Ganes Road Intersection (Locals Only)
Carlisle Road and Lavers Hill Road Intersection
Carlisle Road and Silks Access Intersection (Locals Only)
There is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required.
