Advice - Met - Stay Informed Minor the King River Yesterday at 11:30 AM
This Minor Flood Warning is being issued for the King River.

Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the King River at the Docker Road Bridge, and falling slowly. 

The King River at Docker Rd Bridge may fall below the minor flood level (3.95 m) during Friday afternoon.

The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently at 12.30 m and steady, with minor flooding. The Ovens River at Wangaratta may remain above the minor flood level (11.90 m) until early Saturday afternoon. 

This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 10:02am Thursday 13th August 2026. 
Stay informed - monitor your local conditions and remain alert.
What you should do: 
  • Be prepared to act if your situation changes.
  • Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
Impacts in your area: 
  • High river levels and potential flooding in areas close to rivers and streams.
  • Floodwater may still be over local roads and on farmland for several days. 
  • Low-lying camping areas may still be flooded.
Key Road Closure
  • Docker to Carboor Road at Docker is closed between Wangaratta-Whitfield Road, Docker and Oxley-Meadow Creek Road. Emergency services access only. Please obey the road closure signs.
