This Minor Flood Warning is being issued for parts of the Goulburn River downstream of Shepparton. 

Minor flooding is possible on the Goulburn River at McCoys bridge overnight Saturday (15th August 2026) into Sunday. 

The Goulburn River at McCoys Bridge is currently at 7.71 m and steady, below the minor flood level. 

The Goulburn River at McCoys Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (9.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. 

This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 3:08pm Thursday 13th of August 2026. 
Stay informed - monitor your local conditions and remain alert.
What you should do: 
  • People living or camping on the Goulburn River between Shepparton and Kanyapella should expect river level rises on Friday and Saturday as floodwater arrives from Shepparton. 
  • Farmers should consider moving livestock and machinery from along the river to higher ground. 
  • Be prepared to act if your situation changes.
  • Monitor river levels. Go to www.bom.gov.au/vic/warnings/
  • Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
