  • The bushfire within Wilsons Promontory National Park was declared contained on Monday 11 March. 
  • Fire crews and Parks Victoria staff will continue to monitor the burnt area. 
  • Aircraft will be undertaking routine visual inspections in the area on Friday 15 March .
  • Wilsons Promontory will reopen at 9am on Friday 15 March.
  • Smoke may still be visible from nearby communities and roads. 
There is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required.
