This is a Final Flood Watch for South Gippsland Rivers.

Flooding is no longer expected in the South Gippsland Rivers catchment. 

  • Several flood warnings are current ranging from minor to major flooding across West Gippsland and parts of North East and central Victoria. 
  • A complex low brought heavy rainfall to West Gippsland and the North East and central ranges during Wednesday and Thursday. 
  • Rainfall is now easing across the flood watch area with 5-15 mm forecast across West Gippsland and Central Ranges for Thursday. 
  • Flood warnings are current for Mitchell River, Avon River, Macalister River, Thomson River, Latrobe River, Traralgon Creek, Yarra River, Bunyip River, Dandenong Creek, Maribyrnong River, Werribee River and Goulburn River.  
  • Current flood warnings are available at www.bom.gov./vic/warnings
