This Minor Flood Warning is being issued for Latrobe River downstream of Traralgon.

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG LATROBE RIVER

Latrobe River downstream of Traralgon: 
  • Minor flooding is expected along the Latrobe River downstream of Traralgon.
  • The Latrobe River at Rosedale (Main Stream) is currently at 3.78 metres and rising. The Latrobe River at Rosedale (Main Stream) is expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday.

What you should do: 
  • Be prepared to act if your situation changes.
  • You should stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
  • Rainfall and winds are expected to impact overnight, please ensure that you are prepared for this to occur.
  • Avoid travel if possible. Please be careful if you need to drive as there may be water over roads, landslips and trees down. 
  • Willow Park north of Rosedale may be impacted by flooding.

Severe Weather Risk
 
  • Please be advised that there is severe weather expected to impact the State on Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday.  This is likely to bring damaging winds and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding.    
  • People should prepare for this weather event and monitor the warnings throughout Wednesday and Thursday.  Details on the areas impacted and what is expected will be detailed in these warnings.     
  • Secure loose items such as outdoor settings and trampolines.
