This Flood Watch
is being issued for Kiewa River
Flood Watch for parts of Gippsland, South West and North East Victoria.
Localized and isolated areas of minor flooding are possible from overnight Friday into Saturday in catchments of the flood watch area.
A low pressure trough lies over western and central Victoria on Friday, moving into eastern Victoria on Saturday.
Catchment conditions in the flood watch area range from moderately dry in south western Victoria to moderately wet through the rest of the flood watch area.
Widespread rainfall totals of 5-25 mm are forecast for the remainder of Friday, with isolated falls of 50-70 mm possible with thunderstorms. Very localized falls of up to 100 mm are also possible with storms. Widespread rainfall totals of less than 15 mm are forecast for Saturday, with isolated falls of 50-60 mm possible with thunderstorms.
Isolated minor flooding and localized flooding due to heavy rain associated with storms are possible from overnight Friday into Saturday in catchments of the flood watch area.
