This Minor Flood Warning is being issued for the Kiewa River at Kiewa and Bandiana.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BANDIANA AND KIEWA

Minor flooding is expected to continue along the Kiewa River at Bandiana for the next few days. Minor flooding is also occurring along the Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream). Renewed river rises are possible along the Kiewa River over the weekend in response to forecast rainfall during Friday and into Saturday.

In the 24 hours to 09:00 am Friday, rainfall totals of up to 10 mm were observed across the Kiewa River catchment. Showers are forecast for the remainder of Friday and into Saturday with totals of 10-20 mm possible.

Kiewa River to Mongans Bridge:
Renewed river rises are possible along the Kiewa River to Mongans Bridge overnight Friday into Saturday, based on forecast rainfall.

Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Kiewa River downstream of Mongans Bridge.

The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is currently at 3.34 metres and steady, with minor flooding. The Kiewa River at Kiewa (Main Stream) is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.30 m) during Friday and into Saturday.

The Kiewa River at Bandiana is currently at 2.93 metres and steady, with minor flooding. The Kiewa River at Bandiana is expected to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) for the next few days.
