  • The bushfire at Lavers Hill-Cobden Rd, Chapple Vale is still not yet under control.
There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.

What you should do: 
  • Monitor weather conditions and warnings. 
  • Review your fire survival plan. 
  • If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area: 
  • Firefighters are responding to this fire.
  • Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads including the Great Ocean Road.
  • Colac Tree Rd is closed.
  • Lavers Hill - Cobden Rd is closed
  • The Great Ocean Road is open, but may be closed if conditions change.
  • The Great Ocean walk is now open all sections, but may be closed if conditions change.
  • Check the VicTraffic website (traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au/) or call 13 11 70 for road closures.
  • Bulldozers and aircraft are operating in the area. 
  • Emergency services will remain in the area.
