This Advice is being issued for coastal areas from Nelson to Cape Otway.
  • Abnormally high tides are expected in the warning area.
  • This will cause sea levels to be above normal high tide.
  • Abnormally high tides may cause coastal flooding of low-lying areas.
Avoid the area and stay informed - monitor your local conditions and remain alert.
What you should do: 
  • Be prepared to act if your situation changes.   
  • Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings. 
Call Triple Zero (000) in a life-threatening emergency. For emergency assistance from the SES, call 132 500.
Impacts in your area: 
  • Abnormally high tides may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas.
  • Tides are likely to rise well above the normal high tide mark during this afternoon and evening high tides. 
  • Tides are again expected to rise well above the normal high tide mark during Wednesday afternoon and evening high tides.
