Community Information message is being issued for the incident at
Porepunkah and surrounding areas including Myrtleford and Bright.
- Victoria Police advises the search for armed offender
Desmond Freeman (Filby) continues.
- Mount Buffalo National Park fully reopened to the public on Friday 24 October, following advice from Victoria Police.
- The
full details are available on the Parks Victoria website, with staff also patrolling the park.
- Victoria Police advises those in the area to
remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to Triple Zero (000) or
Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
This Community Information replaces the message issued on Tuesday 21 October.
If you see Desmond Freeman (Filby), call Triple Zero (000) immediately and do not approach the offender.
What you should do:- If you are in the Porepunkah area, you must follow instructions of emergency services at the scene.
- Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppers.com.au.
