This
Minor Flood Warning Update is being issued for
Bunyip River to Iona.Minor Flooding has
peaked on the Bunyip River overnight. Water levels peaked at 2.1 metres for Iona, and
3.66 metres for Cora Lynn.
- The Bunyip River catchment has recorded rainfall averaging
about 11 mm since 09:00 AM Tuesday 11 November 2025.
- The Western Port catchment
has recorded rainfall averaging about 6 mm for the same period.
- Rainfall totals
of less than 1 mm are forecast for the catchment Wednesday 12 November 2025.
- Water levels of the Bunyip River at various locations have
risen.
- Tarago River: The level of Tarago Reservoir is currently at 157.01 metres, below the spillway level of 157.92 metres.
- Minor flooding in the Bunyip River catchment is expected to affect low-lying areas adjacent to the waterway.
- The ford at Cora Lynn will remain closed to traffic today.

Iona
The level of the Bunyip River at Iona is currently at 1.95 metres, below the Minor Flood Level (2.10 metres), and falling.
This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 11:04am Wednesday 12 November.

What you should do: - Be prepared to act if your situation changes.
- Stay informed by listening to emergency
broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
- Monitor weather forecasts and river levels. Go to www.bom.gov.au/vic/warnings/.
- Floodwater is dangerous - never drive, walk or ride through floodwater.
- Floodwater is toxic - never play or swim in floodwater.

Be wary of
river edges, they may subside.
- Canoeists
should avoid all flood waters; debris and fence lines will become
hazardous.
- Farmers
should ensure that all stock is secure and able to move to higher ground.
- Pumps
and farm machinery may need to be relocated.
- Do not drive
across river fords.
Impacts in your area: - High river levels and potential flooding in areas close to rivers and streams.
- Some bicycle and walking tracks will be unpassable at this level.
- The ford at Cora Lynn will remain closed to traffic today.
