  • The bushfire at Mallacoota - Lake Barracoota is not yet under control.
  • The Mallacoota - Lake Barracoota bushfire is approximately 2400 hectares in size.
  • Fire fighting crews continue to monitor conditions and will use the Aerial Intelligence Gathering Helicopter (AIG) to see it there are any hotspots around the edge of the fire.
There is no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions, which may change.
What you should do: 
  • Monitor weather conditions and warnings. 
  • Review your fire survival plan. 
  • If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area: 
  • Smoke may still be visible from nearby communities and roads.
