Advice message is being issued for
Elphinstone, Faraday, Sutton Grange.
- The fire at Ravenswood South has been contained.
- The spread of fire has slowed and is not travelling outside the current burn area, but this can change at any time.
There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and
monitor conditions.
What you should do: - Be aware that firefighting vehicles and other agencies will remain the area as part of the response and recovery efforts. Please keep roads and properties clear.
Impacts in your area: - Forest Fire Management will continue with burn-out operations in the Mount Alexander Regional Park. Due to fuel loads and vegetation, this has seen an increase in smoke and aircraft activity on the east side of the fire (Sutton Grange/Faraday). Secondary containment lines are being established to minimise risk to the community.
- These works are planned and there is no cause for concern.
- If you can see new visible flames outside of the current burn area, call 000 immediately.
This message was issued
by Country Fire Authority.
The next update is expected by 17/01/2026 10:00 am or
as the situation changes.
