This
Watch and Act message is being issued for
Faraday, Harcourt, Harcourt North, Sutton Grange.
- The fire at Ravenswood South is contained.
- Active fire remains in the southern section of the Mount Alexander Regional Park due to burning out operations. Large amounts of smoke will be visible in the area as burning operations subside.
- Crews have been able to slow the spread of fire and contain it to the current burn area.
- Access is strictly prohibited.
This Watch and Act replaces the Watch & Act issued at 09:55am.
The threat is reduced, but the situation can change at any time. You must monitor conditions and be ready to act.
- Continue to monitor weather conditions.
- If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
- Leave if the situation changes or you feel unsafe.
Impacts in your area:
- Smoke may be visible.
- Fire damaged trees remain a serious hazard in the burnt area, crews are still undertaking assessments, trees or limbs may fall without warning.
- The Mount Alexander Regional Park remains closed.
- Roads may be closed as further recovery and firefighting works take place.
