This is a Flood Warning for Allenvale, Kennett River, Lorne, Separation Creek, Wye River.
  • The immediate threat of flash flooding has passed. 
  • Dangerous hazards including floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees are still present.
  • You can stay safe by avoiding flooded and low lying areas. 
  • Be aware that heavy rainfall may also increase the potential for landslips and debris across roads.
The threat of flooding is reduced but be aware there are hazards that still exist in the warning area.

What you should do: 
  • Floodwater is dangerous - do not enter floodwater. 
  • Find alternative travel routes if roads or underpasses are flooded. 
  • Be aware of driving hazards, such as mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees. 
  • Stay away from damaged and flooded buildings, fallen or damaged trees and powerlines, and damaged roads until authorities advise they are safe.

If your home or business has been flooded: 
  • Check for building damage before you enter. 
  • Have all electrical and gas equipment professionally tested before use. 
  • Clean and dry out the building as soon as possible.

Impacts in your area: 
  • Great Ocean Road remains closed from from Skenes Creek to Hird Street in Lorne.  Lorne is accessible from Torquay via Dean Marsh-Lorne Road.
  • Department of Transport continue to assess road conditions and bridges along the Great Ocean Road.
  • Impacted caravan parks continue to be assessed for community safety.
  • Driving conditions are dangerous due to flooded roads and underpasses and debris on roads.
