This Advice message is being issued for Big Desert, Boinka, Linga, Patchewollock, Torrita, Underbool, Walpeup.
  • There is a bushfire South of Underbool that is now contained.
  • It is safe to return to the area. Be aware of potential dangerous bushfire and tree hazards.
There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
What you should do: 
  • Monitor weather conditions and warnings. 
  • Review your fire survival plan. 
  • If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area: 
  • Check the VicTraffic website (traffic.transport.vic.gov.au) or call 13 11 70 for road closures.
  • Wyperfeld National Park is closed to the public.
  • Roads and tracks within the park have been impacted and may be impassable. 
  • Hazardous tree assessments continue within the park. 
  • The  Patchewollock State Forrest remains open to the public.
