  • This Advice message replaces the Watch and Act issued at 10.33 on 18 January 2026.
People located within the area are now able to resume normal activities but need to be aware of the following information:
  • The fire has been contained within the fire perimeter but you still need to remain vigilant and monitor conditions. 
  • Increased wind speed, change in wind direction, smoke or poor visibility can indicate the situation is changing.
  • There is still fire activity in the area, particularly in the Southern end of the Black Ranges, as crews continue to work on burning out activities.
  • Smoke may be visible for nearby communities and roads near the Black Ranges.
  • Fire crews continue to work in and patrol these areas.
Impacts in your area:
  •  Falling trees can still pose a risk along roadways, especially with increased wind or any storm activity. People travelling along roads within the area need to exercise caution.
  • Check the VicTraffic website (traffic.transport.vic.gov.au) or call 13 11 70 for road closures.
