This Advice message is being issued for The Razor, Wabonga.
  • There is a bushfire at The Razor, Alpine National Park that is not yet under control.
  • The fire is expanding to the north and south.
  • This fire is part of the greater Wonnangatta - Dargo Complex.
  • This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 1pm, Sunday 18 January 2026.
What you should do: 
  • Monitor weather conditions and warnings. 
  • Stay out of the area.
  • Review your fire survival plan. 
  • If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area: 
  • Aircraft are operating in the area.
  • Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. 
  • Walking tracks, vehicle tracks and roads have been closed in the warning area.
  • Check the VicTraffic website (traffic.transport.vic.gov.au) or call 13 11 70 for road closures.
  • The Alpine National Park is closed south east of Wild Horse Track. For Park closure updates, check the Parks Victoria website (parks.vic.gov.au) and the Forest Fire Management website (www.ffm.vic.gov.au).
