This Advice message is being issued for Bucheen Creek, Cravensville, Lucyvale, Cudgewa and the Nariel Valley and surrounds. .
  • This bushfire started 27Km West Of Walwa in Mt Lawson State Park on the 5th January and has spread through to the Wabba Wilderness Park. 
  • The fire is approximately 121,500 hectares and is contained.

There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
What you should do: 
Impacts in your area: 
  • The Murray Valley Highway is open.
  • The Benambra-Corryong Road is open.

  • The following parks within the Parks Victoria estate are currently closed to the public: Mount Lawson State Park, Pheasant Creek Flora Reserve, Mountain Creek Education Area, Granya Bushland Reserve, Beetooma Stream Side Reserve, Berringama Bushland Reserve, Wabba Wilderness Park.

  • Emergency services, machinery and aircraft will remain in the area.
  • Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. 
  • Trees can fall across roads and cause dangerous driving conditions.
  • Monitor air quality and take precautions to protect your health by visiting https://www.epa.vic.gov.au/
