This Minor Flood Warning is being issued for Avon-Richardson Rivers.

  • Moderate rainfall totals have been observed across the Avon and Richardson catchments over the weekend, with river level rises now occurring along parts of the Richardson River. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Monday which may cause additional river level rises. With this forecast rainfall, minor flooding is possible at Donald Town from overnight Monday into Tuesday.
  • With forecast rainfall, the Richardson River at Donald Town may reach around the minor flood level (2.20m) from Monday afternoon. Higher levels are possible.
  • A Flood Watch is current for parts of Central, North West and South West Victoria, including the Wimmera and Avon-Richardson rivers. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy, locally intense rainfall, is current for parts of Victoria.

  • Minor flooding is possible along the Richardson River.The Richardson River at Donald Town is currently at 0.43 m and rising, below the minor flood level. With forecast rainfall, the Richardson River at Donald Town may reach around the minor flood level (2.20 m) from overnight Monday into Tuesday.
  • Victoria State Emergency Service and Buloke Shire Council are closely monitoring the situation and will advise if any further action is required by the community.
