Wangaratta peaking just below minor flood level, no further flooding expected.
Rainfall across the Ovens and King River catchments last weekend resulted in renewed river level rises across the catchments. Further downstream the Ovens River at Wangaratta is peaking just below the minor flood level and will ease over the next few days.
Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point:
Flooding no longer expected along the Ovens River at Wangaratta. The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently at 11.84 m and steady around a peak, just below the minor flood level (11.90 m). The Ovens River at Wangaratta is expected to ease over the next few days and remain below the minor flood level.
The threat of flooding is reduced. Stay informed -
