Along the Loddon River at Appin South the river level is approaching a minor peak.

Further rainfall is forecast during Tuesday and Wednesday and the situation is being closely monitored.

Minor flooding is occurring at Appin South.The Loddon River at Appin South is currently at 2.88 m and rising, with minor flooding. The Loddon River atAppin South may peak near 3.00 m Tuesday morning, with minor flooding.

  • Floodwater is dangerous - never drive, walk or ride through floodwaters
  • Farmers should consider moving livestock and machinery to higher ground.

  • High river levels and potential flooding in areas close to rivers and streams.
  • Over-floor flooding of dwellings is not currently expected. 
  • Impacts expected to be limited to inundation of lower areas of Loddon floodplain with possible inundation of some minor local roads.
  • Roads and bridges may be closed due to flooding.
  • Boating in floodwaters is dangerous due to debris, submerged trees and other hidden dangers.
