This Flood Watch is being issued for Yarra River upstream of Warrandyte.

MINOR TO ISOLATED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM FRIDAY.   

Moderate rainfall has been observed across Central Victoria overnight Thursday into Friday. Further moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast across parts of Gippsland, North East, Central, South West and North West Victoria from Friday into the weekend. This rainfall has the potential to cause minor to isolated moderate flooding across the Flood Watch area from Friday and through the weekend.   

Catchments across the Flood Watch area are moderately wet and may respond quickly to rainfall.   

The location, intensity, and timing of this forecast rainfall is highly uncertain, and the rainfall focus may shift to other areas of the state as this event progresses.
