This Advice is being issued for Werribee River upstream of Lerderderg River.
  • Minor flooding has eased at Ballan.
  • The river is currently at 1.38 m and falling, below the minor flood level. 
  • The Werribee River at Ballan may remain below the minor flood level (1.60 m).
  • This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 1:16 am.
It is now safe to return the evacuated area to assess impacts as the threat is reduced. Be aware of any hazards that may still exist in the warning area. 
What you should do:
  • Floodwater is dangerous - never enter floodwater.
  • Find alternative travel routes if roads or underpasses are flooded.
  • Be aware of driving hazards, such as mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees. 
If your home or business has been flooded:
  • Check for building damage before you enter.
  • Have all electrical and gas equipment professionally tested before use.
  • Clean and dry out the building as soon as possible.

  • Damage to roads and buildings caused by flooding may still exist in your area.
