This Flood Watch is being issued for Macalister River.

Minor to isolated moderate flooding is possible across the Macalister River over the weekend.
  • Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded over the Macalister River catchment since Thursday evening causing river and creek level rises. 
  • Minor flooding is easing at Lake Glenmaggie (downstream) after a moderate flood peak occurred during Saturday night. 
  • River levels may fall below the minor flood level Sunday afternoon.
  • This Advice replaces the Advice issued at 4:43 pm yesterday, Saturday 3 October 2026.

  • Floodwater is dangerous - never drive, walk or ride through floodwater.

  • Avoid camping in low lying areas.
